717-814-9501 is a number that can be programmed to ring wherever we (Wayne and Carol) are located. It is a local call from York, PA. In other words, it will ring us at the office and at home, including our cell phone if we program it to do so. In addition, it leaves a voice mail (audio) and a transcribed written email of the message. It also allows us to send and accept SMS text messages to/from client's cell phones.

After three years at our present location, in January, 2011 we will move to new office space, close by in The Factory Office Building in Shrewsbury. Telephone numbers should stay the same. The new address will be: 39 E Forrest Avenue, Suite 204, Shrewsbury, PA 17361. The office is on the "ground" floor close to the front entrance on Forrest Avenue--if entering from the side or rear parking lots, we are on the 2nd floor. The building is elevator equipped, handicap compliant, and senior friendly. The office is just down the hall from our good friend, Mike O'Dell, who has operated his State Farm Insurance office in the building for more than 20 years. Rather than renew the lease on our large space in the Professional Building, we decided that our resources were better used to invest in the latest technology, software and research with the goal to improve investment performance for our clients. Our new space will allow us to have two internet service providers with more broadband speed and capacity.

WS Wealth Managers Inc. indicates that a "new approach" is appropriate for most investors in or near retirement. According to Wayne Strout, Chief Investment Officer, "The typical Buy and Hold strategy calls for limited supervision and is probably not appropriate for most "mature" investors. This strategy worked for the 25 year long, 1982-2007 period, but did not work out well for retired investors in 2008. Another slightly different strategy has been defined as "Stay the Course" with regular supervision of the account/s and periodic adjustments. We think this is more appropriate for the retired or near retirement investor. After the most recent market downturn, many clients are telling us they expect an even more proactive approach with continuous supervision of the account/s and the economic environment. They want recommendations for tactical adjustments to protect them from extreme volatility and declines. It is hard to argue against taking intelligent action to protect your nest egg from market declines that jeopardize your long term retirement spending goals."

Wayne Strout--"In forming our new firm, I wanted to be sure that we created the best business structure for clients. Registered Invesment Advisors, regulated by the SEC and Financial Planners charge for advice but do not typically charge commissions. Brokers, regulated by FINRA, charge commissions, but typically do not charge for advice. RIA's act according to a Fiduciary Standard of Care, while Brokers must recommend only Suitable investments. Our new firm will be a 'hybrid' that will be able (pending all regulatory approvals on State and Federal levels) to operate as an RIA for those that choose that model as well as an Independent Contractor Registered Representative of a Broker Dealer. We chose to work with Glen Eagle Advisors LLS because of CEO John Michel's, and Director of Compliance Bob Les's background and experience with Merrill in operations and we chose Pershing for clearing/custody because of the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation's reputation and history dating back to 1784 when it was founded by Alexander Hamilton."
